• No. of Posts : 30 (UR-16, OBC-08, SC-04, ST-02)
• Pay Scale : The candidates will be paid B/Pay of Rs.15, 600+5,400 GP per month with other allowances inclusive of NPA as admissible under rules.
• Eligibility : MBBS
• Qualification : a) The candidates should have passed MBBS (including completion of one year Internship) or equivalent degree recognized by Medical Council of India. b) Only those candidates who have passed MBBS (including Internship) not earlier than two years before the date of walk-in-interview will be considered. It implies that those who have completed MBBS or equivalent course (including completion of internship) on or after 28.6.2014 will be considered.

About :JIPMER traces its origin to 1823 when a medical school called “Ecole de Medicine de Pondichery” was established by French government. In November 1956 the Government of India took over the medical college in the wake of the ‘de facto’ transfer of Pondicherry. The college was upgraded as a Regional Centre and named as Jawaharlal Institute of Post-graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) on 13th July 1964.
