• Age Limit: The minimum age limit for the candidates is 18 years, and the maximum age of the candidates should be 35 years. Relaxation will be applicable as per the government norms.
• Educational Qualification:  The candidates who secured minimum of 45% marks in their Senior secondary and have two year Diploma in Elementary Education, can apply for the TET Exam 2016.  The candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary exam by obtaining minimum 50% marks along with four years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) also will be considered as eligible to apply. Those candidates will also be eligible who pass out higher secondary exam with a minimum 50% of marks and have two years Diploma in Education (Special Education). For the upper primary, the candidates who secured a minimum of 50% marks in their Higher Secondary exam and have a four-year degree in B.A. / B.Sc. Ed. or B.A. or B.A.Ed or B.Sc. Ed can also apply. The candidates having a degree in B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com and obtained minimum 50% of marks and a B.Ed degree are considered as eligible for the application. 5% relaxation is given to the candidates belongs to the reserved category
